Austin Osborne- Head Coach

• Coach Austin was born and raised here in Anchorage and graduated from Dimond High School where he served as Student Body President, Athletic Council President and captain of the varsity basketball team. He has been coaching sports in Anchorage for over a decade, getting his start as a youth basketball coach for the YMCA of Alaska. Since then, he has coached numerous 17U and 18U teams for Midnight Sun Volleyball Club and has served as a varsity assistant coach, JV head coach and C-Team head coach here at Service. In his spare time, he enjoys playing both indoor and outdoor volleyball, running, camping and watching sports, especially UAA basketball and volleyball. Outside of the gym, Coach Austin works in marketing at UAA. He has a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in higher education. In the past, he has worked as an early learning teacher and a K-12 substitute teacher in addition to holding a variety of communications and marketing positions.

 Claire Turner 

• Coach Claire played high school volleyball in Illinois, where she grew up. She played for Belleville East High School and Midwest Fire for club. After high school, she played collegiately at St. Louis Community College before moving to Alaska. She has coached club all the way up to the 18U division for Midwest Fire, Illinois Heat and Midnight Sun Volleyball and has experience coaching at the middle and high school level. She has also worked as a professional referee in Anchorage and has been a counselor for numerous volleyball camps and clinics.  

C Teams

Hailey Smith - Green

•  Coach Hailey played high school volleyball right here at Service High. She also played for Midnight Sun Volleyball Club in Anchorage. Since graduating, she has been an assistant coach at the varsity level and a head coach at the C-Team level. She has also coached for Midnight Sun and Hanshew Middle School. In addition, she has experience refereeing in Anchorage.  

Paige Pederson & Emliee Ullom - Gold

• Paige also played high school volleyball right here at Service! She played for Boys & Girls Club and has coached for Boys & Girls Club, Midnight Sun Volleyball and Service camps. 
• Emilee is another Service alum! She played at Service in high school as well as both Midnight Sun and Boys & Girls Club. She has coached at Hanshew Middle School, Boys & Girls Club and Service camps.
